Home Sweet Homebody: The Heart of the Story
I was flipping through the photos on my phone the other day and something struck me. I definitely had photos of the major moments: the birthday girl blowing out her candles, family vacations, first day of school. But some of my favorite photos of my family didn’t come during the big moments. They were the small, everyday ones. The puppy curled up napping on the couch. My little girl playing with her dolls. Our family making pizza together on a Sunday evening. These are the moments that show who we truly are. It made me realize that documenting those ordinary days actually means even more to me than the special events. The big days are already marked. The everyday ones are the ones that quietly become the heart of the story.
This is why I’m loving the new collection from Kelly Bangs Creative. Home Sweet Homebody celebrates everything we love about our homes—the ordinary, everyday things that make up our lives.
From beloved pets to a cozy fireplace, Kelly outdid herself with the ephemera in this set. Four pages of ephemera plus extra pages of tags, frames, titles and more coordinate perfectly with 11 pages of backgrounds. I think my favorite piece might just be the pink pjs with bunny slippers. The color palette looks beautiful with ribbons, lace, and that soft coquette aesthetic.

Sherri has been cozily creating little desk pieces using the super-cute ephemera and patterned papers. Her projects feel like tiny, everyday home vignettes you could leave out on a desk or shelf. I love her layered paperclip!

Ana created a heartwarming mini album that perfectly captures the quiet, ordinary moments the collection is made for—quiet reading days, fresh baking, lit candles, and the simple comfort of being home. She packed it full of hidden pockets, pull-out tags and opportunities to remember everything that matters.
Rochi (@rochicreates)
Rochi’s matching box and mini album is filled with cozy little moments, family, and all the things that make a house feel like home. Her layering and playful use of the ephemera are pure inspiration.
